Aubrey Officer and Elise Beuke

Note the layback. And in the video she finishes correctly too.

Two juniors from Port Angeles - Aubrey Officer and Elise Beuke - won their juniors double class at the Tail of the Lake a couple of weeks ago. They finished 15 seconds ahead of the second place double. There were 12 other boats competing in their age group from the major rowing centers in the Seattle area. Rodrigo Rodrigues has been coaching them.

Bob Ernst, the UW women's rowing coach, offered Elise a rowing scholarship. She is thrilled. He has been closely following her progress this year. He first noticed her at Ergomania where she won on her first attempt competing there.

____________

1/21/15 - Elise Beuke is the senior at Sequim HS that received a scholarship to row at UW. She is training for Ergomania and already set a new pr of 7:09.9 for the 2K distance. Rodrigo's goal for her over the winter was 7:10 and she has just started training. That time puts her at #10 in the US on the Concept 2 rankings. Elise's best time for 2K on the erg is 6:56. That is a split time of 1:44/500m.- Don Berger
