9/27/11 Our family is selling some of Bill Kalenius's old wood sculling oars, along with his Sims Racing Single (was one of his first shells) and a wood Pocock Racing Single. Bill Kalenius was a long-time rowing coach and former WWU oarsman and the founder of the Vancouver Lake Crew rowing club. See his obituary. I can't find anything wrong with it. It is truly a work of art. We are asking $4000. ******** 10/1/11 Hey jim, we sold the 1x to an old friend, kip keller of eugene, today. There is no reg num, no port holes, so im guessing it is pre early 70s. We still have a sims, made in toronto of mahogany, probably same vintage, for sale. We found some slabs of cedar, maybe 2 ftish by 2 ft ish. They may have come from ron owens old wood boatbuilding shop. Could any builder u know use these? Thanks, Will kalenius
