Pocock Classic Cedar Singles
Menage A Trois
Triple made form a 1970s Stampfli bow-coxed pair
227/26

36-ft classic 1970s wooden Stampfli triple rowing shell made in Zurich

Rat Island Rowing & Sculling Club in Port Townsend is offering a vintage wooden sculling shell from its collection. Rat Island is a non-profit club that will use the proceeds of this sale to preserve another Pocock wooden racing shell, which has been the club's focus for many years.

The boat offered here is a Stampfli wooden triple made in Switzerland of yellow cedar in the 1970s. The boat was originally built as a bow-coxed pair/double, so imagine the stories it could tell. All lacquered wood with Dacron decking. Great restoration candidate or potential use as very dramatic antique rowing shell display in a home, restaurant, airplane hangar, large garage or shop building.

To fully appreciate this piece of rowing history, come up for a visit in Port Townsend, meet some wooden boat rowing legends who have worked on the boat and do a personal inspection.

The shell is offered at the very favorable price of $1,500. The club owns a shell trailer that can be used to transport these to you in the local area.
