So we can distinguish riggers for Fours from riggers for Eights we must know the dimensions of the boats - at least the widths where the riggers attach.

Single (1975 Pocock standard)
Length - 26'-6"
Width at rigger attachement (flaired spalsh guard) . 18"

Double (1978 Pocock)
Length - 31 - 8"'
Width at rigger attachment bow ... 17-1/8" - rigger 22" - spread 61"
Width at rigger attachment stroke . 17-7/8" - rigger 21-1/2" - spread 60-1/2"

Straight Four (~1968 Pocock)
Length - 40'-3"
Width at rigger attachment bow ... 21-1/4"
Width at rigger attachment #2 ...... 21-1/2"
Width at rigger attachment #3 ...... 20-7/8"
Width at rigger attachment stroke . 19-3/8"

Coxed Four (~1968 Pocock)
Length - 41'-1"
Width at rigger attachment bow ... 21"
Width at rigger attachment #2 ...... 21-3/4"
Width at rigger attachment #3 ...... 21-3/4"
Width at rigger attachment stroke . 19-5/8"

Eight (Kathy Whitman Pocock)
Length - 62'

Width at rigger attachment #3 ...... 25 - riggers 19-1/4" - spread 63-1/2"

Width at rigger attachment #5 ...... 25-1/4" - riggers 19-1/4" - spread 63-3/4"

Sweeps
Overall oar length .............. 12'-6"
Outboard .......................... 8'-9"
Inboard ........................... 3'-9"
Span (Pin to boat centerline) ... 3'-3"

Modern sweeps tend to be a little shorter, about 375cm or 12'-4"

Sculls
Overall oar length .... 9'-7" or 9'-10"
Outboard ............................. 6'-11"
Inboard ............................... 2'-11"
Span (Pin to pin) ................... 5'-2"

Pins for quads and doubles are set a little closer to 60" or 61" so the inboard is a little less at about 2'-10".
